Engineer

  • Run fracturing model, document results.
  • Run production model, document results.
  • Match fracturing treatment estimates to recorded data by changing key inputs, calibrating assumptions.
  • Analyze injection test profiles and determine closure stress.
  • Recommend appropriate fracturing fluids, analyze rheological data.
  • Perform pressure calculations, tubing movement runs.
  • Recommend optimal treatment designs. 
  • Price fracturing treatments, generating cost / treatment comparisons.

Reservoir Engineer

NUTECH seeks a Reservoir Engineer to work in the headquarter offices in Houston, TX. The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for SEC reserve evaluation, business planning and performance monitoring. Must work with minimal supervision as a critical component of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Evaluate exploitation opportunities including new drill wells and work overs.
  • Prepare production forecasts, operating plans, and evaluate economic models for asset valuations and budget preparation.
  • Carry out field and reservoir studies and perform reservoir engineering functions including decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetric, pressure transient analysis, and nodal analysis.
  • Rate of Return Economic look back(s)

Candidate must have 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 3 years as a reservoir engineer.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Petroleum)
  • Must have working knowledge of commercial oil and gas economics software
  • Must be able to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment, taking an informal lead position where appropriate
  • Petrophysical analysis skills and reservoir simulation experience helpful

Senior Reservoir Engineer

NUTECH seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to work in the headquarter offices in Houston, TX. The Senior Reservoir Engineer is responsible for leading a team of engineers whose work includes integrated reservoir characterization studies.

Candidate must have 12+ years of experience in Reservoir Engineering, with at least 5 years in Reservoir Characterization. Prefer experience with unconventional reservoirs.

Geologist or Petroleum Engineer

Job Description:  The NuView Reservoir Geologist is responsible to support and assist in the implementation and management of the NuView Reservoir Modeling process, incorporation and maximization of the benefits of all NuLook Petrophysical inputs and NuStim frac design elements.  Also supports all sales and marketing efforts as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input as to data requirements and loading.
  • Provide insight into various depositional environments for client projects.
  • Perform typical workflows for Reservoir Model creation with the incorporation of NuLook processed log data.
  • Provide input as to the development and implementation of customized workflow operations and product deliverables.
  • Provide written input as per client reports and recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Reservoir Modeling
  • Solid understanding of depositional systems and sedimentary processes.
  • 3D modeling software experience in one or more of the following:
    • Petrel
    • Roxar RMS
    • Landmark
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

Geological Technician

Responsibilities:

Gathering and managing data, building cross sections, assisting in all aspects of geological endeavor, working as an integral part of the NuView geological modeling teams.

Qualifications:

General working knowledge of the petroleum industry, well logs, cross sections, and structure maps. Candidate must have strong computer skills and experience using the “geoPlus” Petra software.

Petrophysicist

Company Information:

NuTech Energy Alliance provides advanced petrophysical, geological, and engineering solutions to oil and gas companies worldwide. NuTech models conventional well log data to have the same response characteristics as NMR outputs using our multi-modeling software process. This proprietary process, which is further refined to reflect specific calibration characteristics of each major basin, applies a balanced system approach to all data inputs. Qualifications:

In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geosciences with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the wireline or log interpretation industry.
  • A good understanding of logging tools and the physics of their measurement.
  • Understanding of petrophysical concepts, acquisition and operation methods.

Senior Petrophysical Technician

Job Description:

Fully supporting all Petrophysicists with precision data preparation and data management.

Responsibilities:

      • Load digital data into Powerlog to verify quality of log data ( LAS files, tiff images, hard copy logs, tops, x,y locations, headers, core data, test data, perfs, mud log, directional data, accurate API #)
      • QC digital data.
      • Create curve conversions to sand and lime and cross plot porosity.
      • Depth shift all log data.
      • Baseline SP without supervision.
      • Recognize curves by name, function, and data units.
      • Understanding of curve mnemonics for all major service companies.

          Qualifications:

            • 3-5 years industry experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
            • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
            • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.

            Senior Account Manager – Calgary
            • Senior technical sales position to be located in Alberta.
            • Individual should have engineering or earth sciences background along with minimum of 8 years of progressive technical experience including sales.
            • Oil field service or related background (specifically Schlumberger/Halliburton open-hole wireline).  This will ideally include knowledge of:
              • Wireline tool theory
              • Well log interpretation
              • A demonstrable sales track record of growing markets and contacts within E&P sector/NOC in this market.
              • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
              • Strong organization and leadership skills

            NuTech Energy Alliance – an upstream services company aiding E&P companies in identifying hydrocarbons through proprietary petrophysical evaluations.  These evaluations are geared toward identifying pay zones and providing outputs that include free fluid, bound fluid, and permeability data through a focus on texture, or pore-size distribution.  The engineering group diagnoses field-specific problems in order to determine relationships that will benefit completion efficiencies.  The 3D geological modeling group uses techniques to determine the extent and volumes of by-passed pay zones through defined rock property distribution, inter-well permeability connections, and hydrocarbon volume calculations.
