NuLook™ petrophysical evaluations are geared for finding pay zones. Every well presents challenges; mineral effected-low resistivity, fine grained-low contrast, water salinity, and even data quality. NuTech's engineers are committed to helping you overcome these challenges and NuLook is the answer.
The NuLook petrophysical service emphasizes the texture quality of the rock or pore size. The growing complexity of vertical and horizontal multi-stage well completions and their critical contribution to reservoir success has resulted in greatly increasing the demand for our services. Our specialized fit for purpose petrophysical analysis fits in a low risk production and production enhancement component of your capital budget. Lowering finding costs is critically important for any E&P company, and maximizing production from existing reservoirs is generally recognized as the most cost-effective way to achieve this goal. Our NuLook service provides solutions in a timely manner. On wells needing an immediate decision, NuTech can have results in six hours or less saving critical rig time. Learn More >>
NuTech Energy Alliance has redefined shale analysis with the success of NuLook-Shale Vision. This petrophysical service identifies potential pay intervals in organically rich shale; processed with a defined minimum data set to give a complete analysis of the interval using a textural and multi-mineral evaluation, which identifies all standard NuLook NTV parameters as well as the Kerogen content, TOC, absorbed and free gas content of the formation, with the permeability presented in micro darcies.
The methodology of Shale Vision is to build a mineralogical model including clay, silica, lime, heavy minerals, and Kerogen. With this, NuTech determines the clay volume using multiple clay indicators and the kerogen fraction using Kerogen Correction Model. Once determined, the Kerogen effect is corrected on the log data. This data solves for silica, lime, heavy minerals, and porosity. The determination is made for bound water using multi-modeling logic, K using algorithms developed from well production and stimulation matching or core data, and absorbed and free gas volumes from good core data. The NuLook Fracture Intensity Vision service provides solutions to critical questions on identifying fractures in the vertical and horizontal wellbore; and the relative frequency of those fractures in the well with triple combo data. Also, this service determines potential number of total feet of fractures and characterizes intervals more accurately for production. The data is then used to help identify secondary porosity and permeability generated from the fractures in the formation being evaluated. Learn More >>
By locating bypassed hydrocarbons in older or vintage wells, NuTech’s Thin Bed Analysis dramatically improves the responses of conventional logs by magnifying the inflection points at each depth interval to increase vertical resolution. This solution uses a standard triple combo data set to create a high resolution analysis that solves your questions without the need of additional image tools. Also, you achieve more accurate effective porosity, permeability, water saturation and achieve true estimates of reservoir quality and volume. Learn More >>
NuTech’s petrophysical evaluation providing a well-by-well analysis that respects all conventional data and utilizes NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) based outputs including free fluid, bound fluid, and permeability data. These magnetic resonance outputs are simulated from the curve response of conventional log data to produce output similar to the results from NMR data. NuLook ES Vision utilizes vintage ES logs with an enhanced ability to robustly compare them to modern logs with consistent answers. It also gives NuTech the ability to analyze wells with no porosity data available. Learn More >>
NuTech Energy released Complex Vision in 2010 as a new service to our clients. Complex Vision not only determines which minerals to solve for, it also solves for porosity that is not connected (or non-connected vugs). Permeability relationships are then utilized from the connected pore space to compute absolute perm.
The advantage of Complex Vision is that the user does not have to decide which minerals to solve for or to change which minerals need to be solved for across different geologic horizons. The program solves for the different minerals based on where the individual points fall within quadrants of data points and even works in organic shale intervals. Some programs always compute a fraction of each mineral solved for, but not Complex Vision. Complex Vision differs from most industry models as it will not compute a value for a mineral that is not present.
Complex Vision takes the guess work out of complex lithology problems and provides a reliable, effective, and connected pore space solution. Learn More >>
