NuLook™

NuLook® petrophysical evaluations are geared for finding pay zones. Every well presents challenges; mineral effected-low resistivity, fine grained-low contrast, water salinity, and even data quality. NuTech's engineers are committed to helping you overcome these challenges and NuLook is the answer.

NuLook Petrophysical Services

NuLook® petrophysical capitalizes on the known data outputs and response curves of NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) without the costly expense of deploying a field services company to test the wellsite.

Nutech’s executives pioneered Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) R&D for such companies as Numar (now Halliburton) and Schlumberger.

These services include well-by-well analysis, interpretation, and consultation services that respect all conventional data and utilize NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) based outputs including free fluid, bound fluid, and permeability data. These magnetic resonance outputs are simulated from the curve response of conventional log data to produce output that mirrors NMR field data. The NuLook® services identify potential pay intervals; even bypassed zones caused by mineral affected-low resistivity, fine-grained-low contrast-low resistivity, or water salinity problems. With the 2004 introduction of NuLook Textural Vision™, the NuLook® processed, with a defined minimum data set, gives a pore size spectrum, or NuSpec™, similar to a T2 distribution from NMR.

NuLook Textural Vision™

NuLook Textural Vision analysis allows you to visualize pore size changes within the total and effective pore spaces in the reservoir. Our textural distribution modeling process utilizes well-by-well analysis, and capitalizes on our existing database of over 25,000 analyzed wells and the proven data outputs from NMR technology.

NuSpec™ Services

NuSpec goes beyond Textural Vision and allows the NuLook® services to be performed with a defined minimum data set to give a pore size spectrum similar to a T2 distribution from NMR.

NuLook Featured Success Story

NuLook East Texas - Core Study
The first two examples, from East Texas Cotton Valley sands, illustrate the application of NuTech's technology in tight gas sands. The customer in this situation wished to develop a tool that would help identify zones to stimulate and predict well performance. Historically, the customer's success rate had been below expectations and at high costs.         READ MORE >>
