Houston, Texas – NUTECH today announced that it plans to release an expansion of its Utica/Point Pleasant Regional field study in February 2015.  The field study is an update and enhancement to our successful 90 well 2011 Utica/Point Pleasant study, which helped multiple clients better understand the trend.  In 2011, the Utica/Point Pleasant play was in its infancy, but in 2012 and 2013, the play gained momentum as operators jockeyed for position, evaluated test wells, and proved up both the Utica and Point Pleasant reservoirs.  In 2014 the play hit its stride, with horizontal wells delivering several of the industry’s biggest IP rates in the last 5 years.  As the play developed, so did NUTECH’s evaluation techniques.  NUTECH continued to collect more rock data, log data, and completion information to better understand the Utica/Point Pleasant interval.

Houston, Texas - Jorge Viamontes, Ph.D., VP Reservoir Engineering of NUTECH, will speak at Infocast’s 2nd Annual Eagle Ford & Burgos Basin Cross-Border Development Summit November 5 at the Hyatt Regency in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Viamontes will discuss the results of a successful reservoir evaluation and completion on two unconventional wells in the La Pimienta Formation of Northern Mexico. NUTECH analyzed available rock and log data to characterize the reservoir to provide petrophysical and geomechanical models for the wells.  The Tangram -1 well is the best dry gas producer in the La Pimienta Formation with an IP over 10 MMCFGPD.

Houston, Texas – NUTECH today announced that it plans to release a Delaware Basin Regional Study by June 30, 2014. The study includes 180 analyzed wells, 13 of which include rock measurements. The Delaware Study provides insight into the connectivity across the area by simulating geological and petrophysical property distributions. The results confirm the stratigraphic variability, as well as, identify and quantify hydrocarbon columns per well across the study area. These studies have been developed through NUTECH’s experience and analysis of several thousand wells with core and production data. This study will provide unrivaled reservoir intelligence into the areas of this prolific shale play.

NUTECH today announced that it has commenced a study for LMKR in Southern Asia. The project will utilize NUTECH’s specialized shale gas expertise and proprietary models to reinterprete and redefine old and new well logs along with comparison to regional evaluations to locate and measure shale gas potential. Furthermore, the project would define the characiterization and classification of shale gas plays on the basis of their minerology and geological environment.
